2021 Conference
The Institute of Public Finance (IPF) and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), supported by the International Budget Partnership (IBP), Washington and the Croatian Science Foundation (CSF) organized on October 22, 2021 Public Sector Economics 2021 Conference – Does fiscal openness pay off? The political and socio-economic effects of transparency, participation and accountability. The goal was to bring together leading researchers in the field and to address the current state, trends and challenges in fiscal openness internationally, nationally and subnationally.

Keynote lectures were given by renowned professors James Alt (Harvard University and the member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences), María-Dolores Guillamón (University of Murcia, Spain) and Paulo Jorge Reis Mourão, University of Minho, Portugal.

The conference was supported by the European Commission, International Budget Partnership, Raiffeisen Bank, PBZ Croatia Osiguranje Plc. - Mandatory Pension Fund Management Company, JANAF, Association of Cities in Croatia, and the Association of Croatian Pension Funds Management Companies and Pension Insurance Companies.
